Ex-Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is apparently "ringing up pretty much every team owner" as he pursues a return to grand prix racing, as stated by Aston Martin chief executive officer Andy Cowell.

The Silverstone-based squad is included in the squads that are associated with Horner.

The team executive stated he had confirmed the circumstances with team principal Lawrence Stroll on Friday at the Singapore Grand Prix.

"It looks as though Christian is getting in touch with most team bosses at the moment," commented the CEO.

"I can clearly say there are no plans for the participation of Christian in an leadership or investment capacity in the future."

Further Organizations Respond

The US-based squad boss Ayao Komatsu revealed that the ex-chief had "reached out to" the US-based team but continued: "Nothing has gone any further. The matter is closed."

The French manufacturer executive director Steve Nielsen stated the organization's advisor and de facto boss Flavio Briatore was "longtime companions" with the former principal.

Nielsen added: "I have no knowledge what they discuss. What I understand is there are no plans for Christian to join Alpine but this doesn't imply it might not transpire."

Williams chief James Vowles stated that the ex-chief had not approached them.

"We're very happy with the setup we have and it's working," the Williams boss said. "I don't see any reason to modify it."

Historical Information

Horner is free to return Formula 1 by the second half of the coming year after concluding a departure deal with the energy drink company on 22 September.

The fifty-one-year-old was dismissed as Red Bull team principal after the Silverstone race in the month of July.

Several informants at the organization have indicated the agreement deal was estimated at €60 million (52 million pounds).
